ABBY Lingvo is a nice one. I use it at work. At home i like to use VU Dictionary because it is a very simple and convenient.

To my mind the best dictationary is PROMT ver. 7.0 or higher....at the same time it's good translator of ru-eng , eng-ru , texts and it has many other cool functions...

By the way QDictionary is cool de-ru , eng-ru dictationary...you can download it here
    or here
    :)

I completely agree with xxChaoSxx and I consider that PROMT the best translator RUS>ENG>RUS though also it is possible to install and following language pairs:
    RUS>ENG>RUS
    RUS>GER>RUS
    RUS>FRE>RUS
    ITA>RUS
    RUS>ESP>RUS

Try to use ABBYY Lingvo 12 dictionary. If you can't find a word you need in other dictionaries, just try to look up in Lingvo and you'll find it. Also it has computer dictionary which won't just help you to translate but will also explain what it is. By the way, it has Collins English-English dictionary.

I have been using "TransLite" for 2 years, and very glad...

It is dictionary which contains 200 000 terms and words... Also it has context dictionary on the web pages or another documents.
